Desktop.ini unter Windows 8.1 los werden
Wenn man die versteckten Dateien im Explorer anzeigt, taucht unter Windows 8.1 auf dem Desktop das verborgene File Desktop.ini auf. Das hat natürlich dort nichts zu suchen. Versucht man, es über simples Löschen weg zu bringen, erscheint es wieder wie aus magischer Hand.
Die folgende Änderung in der Registry behebt dieses nervige Verhalten: das Betriebssystem legt die Datei nicht mehr an. (Original-Artikel in Englisch)
- Den Registry Editor regedit.exe öffnen (am besten nach regedit.exe suchen)
- Links im Baum durch folgende Äste navigieren: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE —> SOFTWARE —> Microsoft —> Windows —> CurrentVersion —> Policies —> Explorer
- Das neue DWORD UseDesktopIniCache anlegen und dem neuen DWORD den Wert 0 (Null) zuweisen.
